This power inlet box, with its "raintight" design, plugs into an exterior wall outlet near your main electrical panel. It is installed inside to your manual transfer switch, which restores power to your main electrical panel. Simply connect one end of a power cord to your generator outlet when the power goes out. The other end is plugged into the power inlet box. Tested and certified to UL standards. Always refer to owner's manual for correct part number. Do not rely on picture.
